Personal Bio
Dr. Parrish was born in Ft. Wayne, Indiana April 7, 1954 and grew up in Decatur, Indiana. He graduated from Bellmont High School in Decatur in 1972, and earned a Double Major (B.A.) in both Psychology and Biological Sciences . He graduated from Indiana University School of Medicine in 1980 and did his Psychiatry Residency at Indiana University (LaRue D. Carter Memorial Hospital) from 1980 to 1984, followed by a Fellowship in Child Psychiatry at Riley Children’s Hospital from 1984-1985. Dr. Parrish has been a staff psychiatrist with Gallahue Mental Health (1985-1995), psychiatrist and Medical Director of Adult and Child Mental Health Center (1995-2015), Midtown Mental Health Center (2015-2017) and Indiana Health Group (2018-present).
Dr. Parrish treats a variety of mental health issues including depressive illnesses, psychosis, anxiety and Attention Deficit Conditions.
He is the father of seven children, his youngest being a fifth grader at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic School. HIs wife, Gretchen, is a patent attorney for the firm of Bose-McKinney in Indianapolis.
