Personal Bio
If you’re feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, or patterns that seem impossible to break, you don’t have to face them alone. I believe healing is possible, and it begins by understanding not only what you’re experiencing today, but also the experiences that shaped you along the way.
I work with adolescents and adults experiencing anxiety disorders, depression, bipolar and other mood disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), personality disorders, trauma, and substance use concerns. Whether you’re navigating recent life challenges or carrying the weight of difficult experiences from the past, my goal is to help you gain insight, develop practical coping skills, and create meaningful, lasting change.
I take a collaborative, compassionate approach to therapy, helping clients uncover the underlying issues contributing to their current struggles while equipping them with evidence-based tools they can immediately begin using in everyday life. I want therapy to be more than a place to talk—I want it to be a place where you discover new ways of thinking, build resilience, and gain confidence in your ability to move forward. Together, we’ll focus on helping you heal from the inside out so that your past no longer dictates your present.
I am EMDR-trained and have a special passion for helping clients understand the powerful connection between the mind, body, and nervous system. Along with processing difficult life experiences, I incorporate a nervous system-informed, somatic approach that helps clients better understand how stress and trauma affect both emotional and physical well-being. I enjoy teaching practical strategies that help regulate the nervous system, increase self-awareness, and promote lasting healing.
During your first appointment, my priority is helping you feel comfortable, heard, and understood. Rather than jumping immediately into treatment, we’ll spend time getting to know one another and determining whether we’re a good fit. Choosing a therapist is an important decision, and I believe a strong therapeutic relationship is the foundation for successful therapy. I strive to create a welcoming, supportive, and judgment-free environment where you can be yourself and begin your journey with confidence.
One phrase I often share with my clients is, “If nothing changes, nothing changes.” While we can’t always control what happens to us, we can control how we respond moving forward. My hope is that every client leaves therapy feeling empowered, hopeful, and equipped with the tools needed to navigate life’s challenges with greater confidence and resilience.
Outside of the office, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, cheering on my three children in their many activities, traveling, staying active, and finding thoughtful ways to make others feel loved—whether that’s baking a special cake or creating a personalized gift. I believe maintaining balance, caring for both physical and mental health, and finding joy in everyday life are essential parts of overall wellness, and I strive to model those values in my own life.
