Personal Bio
Choosing to seek help for your mental health is an important step, and I’m committed to making that experience as comfortable and collaborative as possible. I work with children, adolescents, and adults, with a special passion for helping children and teens navigate challenges such as ADHD, anxiety, mood disorders, and autism.
I believe that mental health care should never be one-size-fits-all. My approach begins with understanding where you are today, where you hope to be, and working together to create a treatment plan that fits your unique needs, goals, and lifestyle. Every person is different, and I enjoy helping each patient discover the approach that works best for them.
During your first appointment, we’ll spend time getting to know one another. We’ll review your personal history, discuss the concerns that brought you in, and talk about what you hope to achieve through treatment. I’ll explain your options, answer your questions, and work with you to develop a plan that reflects your goals and preferences.
I hope that every patient leaves our first meeting feeling heard, respected, and confident that they have someone who genuinely cares about their well-being. I strive to create a supportive, judgment-free environment where patients and families feel comfortable discussing their concerns and actively participating in treatment decisions.
One philosophy that guides my practice is that medication is a tool—not necessarily a lifelong commitment. When appropriate, my goal is to help patients build the skills and stability they need so that medication may one day no longer be necessary.
Outside of the office, I enjoy spending time with my family, watching just about any sport, and learning through documentaries. I’m also a lifelong dog lover and am always happy to hear stories about your four-legged family members. Before becoming a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, I proudly served eight years in the United States Air Force. During my military service, I had the opportunity to live in England, where I even played rugby—an experience that gave me a lasting appreciation for teamwork, resilience, and connecting with people from different backgrounds.
