Personal Bio
I believe therapy should be a place where you feel safe, understood, and empowered to create meaningful, lasting change. My goal is for every client to leave our sessions feeling hopeful, confident, and excited about new beginnings. I enjoy working with adolescents and adults ages 14 and older, and I consider it a privilege to walk alongside you as you navigate life’s challenges.
I earned my Master of Social Work degree from Indiana University in 2011 and have experience working with a variety of clients in outpatient settings. My approach is strengths-based, empowering, and individualized. Together, we’ll explore your experiences with curiosity and compassion, uncover areas that need healing, and build practical skills that help you move forward with greater confidence and resilience.
I work with individuals experiencing generalized anxiety, social anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), depression, bipolar disorder and other mood disorders, trauma, PTSD and complex PTSD (CPTSD), relationship challenges, emotion regulation difficulties, identity exploration, and life transitions. I also provide neurodivergent-affirming care for individuals with autism and other forms of neurodivergence, as well as LGBTQIA+ affirming care in a welcoming, inclusive environment.
My therapeutic approach is tailored to your unique needs and draws from several evidence-based treatment modalities, including Internal Family Systems (IFS), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). I value cultural inclusion and strive to create a space where every client feels respected, supported, and free to be their authentic self.
Outside of the office, I’m a Bloomington, Indiana native who enjoys traveling, fishing, spending time in nature, and learning about the mysteries of ancient civilizations.
One piece of advice that guides both my life and my work is: “Honor who you are; your uniqueness is one of your greatest strengths.” I look forward to helping you discover the strengths you already possess and use them to create the life you want.
