Personal Bio

I am a licensed mental health and addiction counselor with 14 years of experience working in various settings, including inpatient and outpatient. Some of my experience has been with severe co-occurring disorders, women offenders, and women victims of domestic violence.

My current expertise includes the following:

  • Individual
  • Couples
  • Family Therapy for Adults
  • Focus on Addictions/Substance Abuse

I am skilled in helping individuals manage anxiety and depression using evidence-based treatments such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and cognitive processing therapy (CPT). CPT is designed explicitly for trauma. I understand that each person I see has unique needs, so I personalize therapy and use a range of treatment modalities, including mindfulness and solution-focused practices. I will work with you to develop personal goals and realistic ways to make the changes you desire.

My forte in the session is ‘whiteboard work,’ which can be described as visual activities we map out together in detail to process thoughts and behaviors. My goal is to provide a safe space for your personal growth and change, meeting you where you are and guiding you in your healing.

Outside work, I enjoy spending time with my husband, two little boys, and a dog. My family also actively fosters dogs for Heaven After Hell Rescue.
