Personal Bio
With over 15 years of experience, I specialize in helping individuals and families overcome challenges related to addictions and substance abuse. My work history spans a variety of settings, including inpatient and outpatient care. I have worked with various individuals, some with severe co-occurring disorders, women offenders, and survivors of domestic violence.
Current Areas of Expertise:
- Addictions and Substance Abuse
- Individual Therapy
- Couples Therapy
- Family Therapy for Adults
My approach is grounded in evidence-based treatments, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and cognitive processing therapy (CPT), which is specifically designed for trauma. I tailor therapy to each individual’s unique needs, incorporating mindfulness, solution-focused practices, and other modalities to support healing and recovery. Together, we will create a personalized plan to achieve your goals and address the underlying issues contributing to substance use, addiction, or mental health concerns.
In sessions, I often use “whiteboard work,” a dynamic and collaborative technique where we visually map out thoughts, behaviors, and strategies. This approach helps bring clarity and insight into the therapeutic process. My goal is to provide a safe, non-judgmental space where you can heal, grow, and build the skills needed to sustain meaningful change.
Outside of my professional life, I enjoy spending time with my husband, two little boys, and our dogs, Lilly and Mango. Our family is also dedicated to fostering dogs as they transition to their forever homes.
