Personal Bio
I work with adults ages 18 and older who are navigating life’s challenges, whether they’re recovering from trauma, struggling with anxiety or depression, or adjusting to significant life changes. My areas of focus include PTSD, anxiety disorders, major depressive disorder, and adjustment disorders, and I have a special passion for helping individuals whose lives have been impacted by trauma. I also enjoy supporting women facing fertility challenges, pregnancy, postpartum concerns, and other aspects of maternal mental health.
My approach to therapy is collaborative, compassionate, and tailored to your unique needs. Because trauma recovery is a central focus of my practice, I frequently use Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), a highly effective, evidence-based treatment for PTSD and trauma-related disorders. I also incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills to help you better understand your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors while developing practical tools to create meaningful change. I believe therapy should not only help you heal but also help you build a life that feels fulfilling and worth living.
During our first appointment, we’ll spend time getting to know one another through a thorough assessment. We’ll talk about what has brought you to therapy, explore your goals, and begin creating a plan that supports your personal growth and well-being. My goal is for you to leave feeling hopeful, safe, understood, and confident that positive change is possible.
I believe effective therapy is grounded in research while remaining authentic and human. I use evidence-based therapeutic techniques and, when appropriate, a little humor to help ease the anxiety that can come with beginning therapy. Creating a comfortable, trusting environment is an important part of the healing process.
Outside of the office, I enjoy spending time with my husband and our three children, traveling, reading everything from thrillers and romance to historical fiction, cheering on the Indiana Pacers, crafting, listening to podcasts, and enjoying music.
One message I often share with patients is: Don’t believe everything you think. You are not your diagnosis, and you are not your symptoms. Healing isn’t about becoming someone else—it’s about discovering the healthiest, most authentic version of yourself. If you’re ready to take that first step, I’d be honored to walk alongside you.
