Personal Bio
I believe the best psychiatric care is built on collaboration. Before attending medical school, I worked as a therapist, and that experience continues to shape how I care for my patients today. I value taking the time to understand your unique story, listening to your concerns, and working together to develop a treatment plan that aligns with your goals, lifestyle, and values. While medication can be an important part of treatment, I also encourage the use of therapy whenever it can support long-term healing and growth.
I commonly work with individuals experiencing depression, anxiety, ADHD, and bipolar disorder. My approach is thoughtful, practical, and individualized. I like to carefully review what treatments you’ve tried in the past, what has and hasn’t been helpful, and then thoughtfully determine the next best steps. When medication is appropriate, I follow the philosophy of “start low, go slow, and do one thing at a time” to help maximize effectiveness while minimizing side effects.
During your first appointment, you can expect a comprehensive discussion about both your current concerns and your personal history. My goal is to gain a thorough understanding of your experiences so we can create a treatment plan that is both realistic and effective.
Above all, I hope you leave our first meeting feeling hopeful. Meaningful progress is possible, and I’m committed to helping you navigate the process with expertise, compassion, and a step-by-step approach.
Outside of work, I enjoy reading, hiking, cooking, and traveling. I grew up in Massachusetts and have also lived in New Jersey and Michigan before making Indiana my home.
