Personal Bio
I believe that everyone deserves to feel heard, understood, and supported. Whether you’re facing a major life challenge or simply feeling stuck, I’m here to walk alongside you. I often say, “We are imperfect people living in an imperfect world,” and I truly believe that healing begins when we permit ourselves to ask for help.
I enjoy working with children, adolescents, and adults, and I provide therapy for individuals, couples, and families. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of helping people navigate a wide variety of concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, abuse, OCD, eating disorders, bipolar disorder, ADHD, addictions, panic disorder, anger management, behavioral concerns, marital and family conflict, blended family issues, intimacy concerns, self-esteem, body image, grief and loss, and many other emotional and relationship challenges.
My approach to therapy is individualized because no two people are the same. Rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach, I tailor treatment to your unique needs and goals. I draw from evidence-based therapies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), trauma-based therapy, and intimacy therapy to help you develop practical skills, heal from difficult experiences, strengthen relationships, and move toward the life you want.
During our first session, I want to understand what brought you to therapy and what you hope to accomplish. Then, as I like to say, “Let’s roll up our sleeves and get busy!” Together, we’ll create a plan that focuses on meaningful progress while moving at a pace that feels right for you.
More than anything, I hope you leave our sessions feeling respected, accepted, and genuinely cared for. Building a trusting therapeutic relationship is incredibly important to me, and I strive to provide unconditional positive regard, compassion, and encouragement as we work together toward your goals. No problem is too big or too small, and I consider it a privilege to be part of your journey.
I provide therapy exclusively through secure telehealth, allowing you to receive care from the comfort and privacy of your home or office. Many of my clients appreciate the flexibility and convenience of virtual therapy, eliminating travel time, childcare concerns, and other barriers that can make it difficult to prioritize mental health. I accept both insurance and private-pay patients.
Outside of my practice, I enjoy spending time with my family. I’m married, the mother of four daughters, and blessed with many grandchildren and wonderful sons-in-law. I also enjoy boating, traveling, spending time at the beach, and snow skiing—very carefully! I have a passion for writing and am the author of the children’s book Which Cloud Are You Today?, illustrated by my grandchildren. I also have additional children’s books and a book of poetry in development.
You have already taken the first step by considering therapy. I would be honored to help you continue that journey toward healing, hope, and happiness.
