Personal Bio
Born and raised in Zionsville, Indiana, I’m grateful to have the opportunity to care for patients in the community I’ve always called home. My approach to psychiatric care is warm, welcoming, respectful, and collaborative. I want you to feel comfortable talking openly about what you’re experiencing and confident that your concerns are being taken seriously.
Your first appointment with me will typically last 80–90 minutes so we have plenty of time to understand the full picture. We’ll talk in depth about your current symptoms, treatments and medications you’ve tried in the past, what has or hasn’t worked well, and what you hope to accomplish with treatment. From there, we’ll thoughtfully determine the next best steps together.
When medication is appropriate, I tend to take a careful approach—starting with lower doses, increasing cautiously when needed, and generally making one change at a time. This allows us to better understand what is helping while minimizing unnecessary side effects. Treatment is never one-size-fits-all, and I believe decisions should be made with you, not simply for you.
Medication is also only one part of mental health care. Depending on your needs, our treatment plan may include therapy, medication, or a combination of approaches. I also believe strongly in the role that exercise, sleep, nutrition, healthy relationships, stress management, and work-life balance can play in overall mental health.
Most of all, I want you to leave our appointments feeling listened to, respected, and hopeful. My goal is for you to understand our plan, feel comfortable asking questions, and know that you have someone who genuinely cares about your well-being and is invested in helping you move forward.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my wife, Heather, traveling to the beach, golfing, attending sporting events and movies, and finding a good Italian meal whenever I can.
