Personal Bio

Dr. Darrin Mangiacarne graduated from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his family medicine residency at St. Luke’s Hospital in Allentown, PA. He then became the second addiction medicine fellow at Geisinger Health System. He received his master’s degree in Public
Health from the University of Southern Mississippi. He is a Certified Physician Executive and a Medical Review Officer. Dr. Mangiacarne is board certified in family medicine from the American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians (AOBFP) and addiction medicine from the American Board of Preventive Medicine (ABPM) and (AOBFO). He is a Distinguished Fellow of the American Society of Addiction Medicine. He is a Fellow of the American Osteopathic Academy of Addiction Medicine and currently serves as Secretary/Treasurer. Dr. Mangiacarne has worked in the addiction field for the past 11 years in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Dr. Mangiacarne has been a member of the Indiana Governor’s Task Force on Addiction and co-chaired the Indiana Attorney General’s Task Force on substance abuse. Dr. Mangiacarne is the Past-President of the Indiana Society of Addiction Medicine. He currently serves as the Chief Medical Office for Banyan Treatment Centers, overseeing the patient care at 14 locations across 7 states.
