Personal Bio

Kaitlin graduated from Indiana Wesleyan University with a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She has experience in individual therapy and group therapy. Her prior employment has allowed her to work with young children all the way through senior populations in both outpatient and inpatient settings. Kaitlin believes in empowering clients through learning and applying new skills for managing their mental health. She also enjoys helping clients navigate and find meaning in their daily life. She is especially passionate about helping new parents navigate pregnancy and postpartum care. Kaitlin uses skills and techniques from several therapy approaches including cognitive behavioral therapy, cognitive processing therapy for trauma, trauma-focused cognitive behavior therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, existential, and solution focused. Since she studied English during undergraduate work, she loves to bring creativity and books into the therapy room as another way to process the human experience.
